Default Rear Differential

Well, got the new/used differential and realized that it doesn't have the reluctor ring on it. Is it for the ABS or the Speedometer? I intalled it anyway and now the c-clips are to thick and causes the axles to stick in to far so that the Pinion Shaft doesn't fit in. Having my brother grind them down alittle bit so all fits. I don't think this should cause much of a problem, but, than again, who knows. I just know now that I will never use a Diff out of a 02'+ Ram. Do they use a thinner c-clip? I noticed that the axle spider gears aren't inset as much as the stock 94' gears for the c-clip.

Anything past 2001 may very well be different.

The exciter ring in a 94 is for RWAL only.

Ok, good to hear. Nothing serious to worry about than. Still baffled by the c clip ordeal though. Hoping grinding down the clips isn't going to hurt much.

is this an LSD? they require a compressor tool to seat the clutches before you can install the c-clips, im not a diff guy so i dont know the specifics, but i would check it out, or else everything will loosen up in there and you run the risk of the clips falling out.

Its a standard open 9.25" diff. Was just informed the diff is from a 1975 D100. Probably gonna have to switch out the Pinion and side gears from a junk vehicle from the bone yard.
