I have an 02 Ram 1500 Quad Cab with a 4.7L V8. Sometimes when I start the truck it will turn over for an extended amount of time before it starts. Once it starts I can smell gas for a few seconds but it runs fine otherwise, for the most part anyway. The problem seems to happen more often after the truck sits for 20 minutes or so.

I know of 2 other 2002 Dodges that have this problem 1 is a durango and the other a ram. This seems to be a problem consistant with the 02 4.7L so I know someone has figured it out somewhere.

I have over 100 hrs. in it and thousands in repairs. Can anyone help me ?
