I have seen all those, just wanting to know which one to get that would be a good one. Don't want to get a piece of junk just cause its cheaper. What ones do you guys recomend to go with or what ones have you had good or bad experience with?

i got mine from a mag. (think it was Stylin trucks) for 150. Remote locks, auto start, and a handy find your car in parking lot/car alarm button.

I've got keyless entry from AutoZone. It was like 50 and it works pretty well except for the range on the key fobs aren't that great. I know if you install it yourself then there are some kits out there that have a picture of a vehicle on the fob and it tells you if your car is running, etc... When I used to work at Best Buy I knew a few people that had it and they were really happy with it. They would be inside the store and could start it in the back of the parking lot. I think those ones are like $3-400 though. If I get a different one in the future then I would def get one of those. You may be able to get it a bit cheaper on eBay

I got my hornet 569t off of ebay for 25ish. I can't get it to work completely right at the moment so I guess you get what you pay for. Works fine on a cold start... Starts on a hot start and doesn't sense that it started so it dies off and re-cranks

See thats what I am afraid of, I want a good one. And I know you get what you pay for, I guess main thing I am looking for is brand names and maybe the price you gave for them and how well you like it.

Well this remote start is very nice and I think I might have just gotten a bum box or something. It works but it won't pickup the tach wire, or it may be that my idle is too low for it to pick it up, etc... it doesnt like something and I haven't figured it out yet. It will get fixed eventually tho. This one has a HF antenna so it gets better range than those bulldog ones. Basically Directed Electronics (DEI) makes viper, python, hornet, etc.. all of those names so they are made by the same people. My buddys viper alarm has the same antenna as my hornet. I needed a no frills remote start because I don't have power door locks and this is what I found. I may try another box and swap it out and see if it is the problem. For $25 for a new complete setup... you can't go wrong. Shoot the replacement remotes cost more than that . Basically whichever route you go you will be fine. I would find one with decent range and the rest is just gravy.

Look under the products tab and you'll see what I mean. They manufacture the popular security / remote start systems. Whichever you choose you should be fine. Like I said it may be a bum box or it may just be the idiot who put it in himself in 6" of snow in a parkinglot. Im leaning towards the latter so don't let me steer you away from getting one. Wish ya luck.
