Default Transmission or Torque Converter

When I'm driving at 55-65 with cruise on or off and in Over Drive I hear the motor wind out for a little bit. its just fractions of a second and I am curious if it has to do with the torque converter slipping. The tranny and torque converter were new in Dec of 2005 and I have about 35000 on them both.

Is this as you get up to speed? I don't know all the internals of the torque convertor, but it sounds like it is winding out a little when the TC goes to lock up. Just a guess. I could be wrong.

The TPS can get flaky in some ranges, causing the TCC to unlock/lock. Also there are brake switches (seperate for cruise, computer, and lights); if the computer gets a brake signal it will unlock the TCC. I'd just change the TPS, they're not that expensive and it's easy to change.

I just the TPS on mine a short time ago. Same symptoms. That took care of it.
