Exclamation Center Front Seat

So...I am installing an amp and want to place it under the center front seat...one problem...it is a little too high to fit because of a metal bar that runs underneath.

Does anyone know what this center metal bar is for? Support? I noticed it is holding the cupholder for back and a relay or something. Any problems with me just remove that metal brace? I do not plan to have anyone sit in the center seat and will remove the back cupholder. Please let me know, thanks.

It is shaped like this:

___/----\____ reversed (upside down)

Thanks

AND (lol) Indy's instructions!
http://www.rm-indy.com/seat_install.htm

Dang...support...hmm I just I can try to make a custom bracket or maybe I can get to it from the back if I remove the cupholder...guess I'll just find out unless anyone has any more input!
