Default smoke out exhaust and oil is getting low

Hello everybody i need a little help i just got the truck it has 109,000 miles on it and i get alittle bit of smoke out of the exhaust and my oil is going down pretty quick any ideas on what it could be and how much it would cost on average

Dodge ram 1500 5.2 2WD

Welcome, Butch. Could be plenum, rings, etc...start by searching to see how to check your plenum. Rule that out first...

remove air filter, open up TB and shine a light down in the bottom. you can see a lot better if you completely remove the TB. if you've got a puddle of oil down in the bottom of the belly pan, then its leaking. 101% of all these engines develop a leak... damn dodge. usually the engine is tilted backwards slightly and the puddle is at the rear.
