My boss (when I had a job) called me up and asked me the same question. His brother-in-law died and he was gonna take possession of his Dakota. He was asking if it had a governor on it cause it started cutting out (like the ignition was being shut off) just past 100. Dropped it back down under 99 and it picked up again.
I know it wasn't a Ram but this is the only experience I have with Dodges and limiting.
I know mine does 95 but it didn't bump any limiters.
120 is stock limiter. With my tune, ive gone way above that . I love going fast (safely..blah blah yeah i know its a truck.. i mean when nobody else is around)
been a couple years. but one of my buddies had a porshe cayenne turbo. he let me throttle it. had it a little over 145mph.and it had more. it was the baddest suv i have ever drove.
I don't think it is the same on all years. I've seen some say it was 105 and some 115. I've had my 96 to 114 and it was still picking up very slowly. Wasn't scary at all to me. The Edelbrocks held it as steady as a line painted on the road.
