Default Question About Axle Swap

I may be able to get the axles out of a 2001 Off-Road quad cab for an excellent price. Mostly, I want them for the 4.10's (my truck has 3.55's), and I believe all Off-Roads came with the limited slip rear, which my truck also does not have. So my question is, would these axles bolt right up to my truck? I'm not looking to get any kind of lift out of this, just really want the 4.10's and limited slip. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I beleive all 1500s came with 2.5" rear springs, so yes, these should be a simple bolt-on.

So do you think this would be a worthwhile upgrade? I mean, it would be cheaper than getting gears for my truck, and I would get the limited slip rear as well. I know that they would be used, but with roughly the same amount of miles as my truck (90,000), and I would keep my current axles in case anything should go wrong with the Off-Road ones.

Yep, they will bolt right up. Better get some new cam bolts for the control arms though, as they will probably be seized on and need to be cut off (more than likely anyway).

As long as you are getting them cheaper than paying for new gears I say its well worth the swap. Perfect excuse to get out and work on the truck for the day a down some beers

Thank you for the feedback, guys. And yeah, it is a good excuse to have a few beers and maybe even get some work done on the truck while I'm at it.
