I don't know why and it matters not ... max sig size is 500x250. Reign 'em in, guys.

 

i am glad they are crackin down. i hate seeing sigs that take up my whole screen.

 

i use firefox with "Ad block plus". i right click on the image and block it forever, along with all the ads on these pages... everybody has a nice truck, but seeing it once is enough.

its surprising how much faster pages operate when you block all the advertisement BS, things like doubleclick, yieldmanager, etc, etc.

The sig is how I I.D. most users. The little avatar usually doesn't sink in (except for you two ... well done) and there's a LOT of "96dodgeraminthemud5.2whatsizetirescanirun" type names ... they all just blend together. I use ABP, too, and considered blocking the sigs but I'd never recognize the posters.

I do most of my DF viewing from places where stuff like that is all stripped out, so I never seen most of your sigs. Every once in awhile when i'm at home, I get suprised by the extra content that I see that i'm just not used to seeing.

 

So does this mean Im too late to have my 1900x1200 sig with multi vids running and lots of graphics & hi res pics? LOL, was wondering how long it was going to take for the crack down
