I want to get a tuner and i have heard great things about both the SCT and the Superchips tuners and i dont know which one is the best bang for my buck.

Well, this has been discussed many times before, but here's a quick summary of what I've gathered:

If you plan on lots and lots of modifications later, like a supercharger, different cam, etc., the SCT can be custom tuned for those. Therefore it'd be better.

If you just plan on bolt-ons and not much (if anything) else, the Superchips would be better.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but next time...

if you even THINK of doing future mods that arent just bolt on....you would be making a mistake to not buy the SCT...all i have right now is bolt ons and it gave me massive power, and once the deeper stuff goes on, ill just have a new tune made and sent to me...it was my best investment yet.

I don't have either, but it seems that if you get hooked up with the free lifetime flashes, you can't go wrong with the SCT. I have searched this subject many times and emailed folks, and I think that if you want to go in the $300-$400 range, you should get a B&G flash over the SC3815. The only downside is that you can't go back to stock and there is only one setting with the B&G. But performance wise, it seems to be much better than the SC3815...

i heard the sct tuners makes it ping, superchips is awesome for finding new found power if you have death flash its a good idea to get rid of it.

[quote=lastrights;1590676]i heard the sct tuners makes it ping, quote]

ive heard the same, and i know switching to colder plugs will help that, i also know its happened due to bad gas, mixture of lower and high octane, etc... ive been running 92 octane for a few weeks before i got the tuner as well as i already have the 3923's and i havent had even the slightest ping, im not sure if im just lucky or if the plugs and pure high octane fuel helped
