Angry Bad news from dealer

Took my truck in because I kept getting the check engine light on indicating a "misfire in cylinder #3" code. Well, I was hoping it was something simple like a bad plug, wire, cap, coil, any damn thing but what they found! He came in and stated that the compression in cylinder 3 was 90 lbs and that it should be 158 (the rest were around that number) and that the most probable cause was...a cracked head! Are they right? They want big $$$ to fix. Would that cause a misfire?

Yea that sounds about right. The magnum motors are known for the heads cracking.

Yes, you can probably do it cheaper than the dealer.

Did they do a leak-down test?

as stated above....stay away from the dealer.....even if you dont want to do it yourself, go somewhere else, it WILL be cheaper... the dealership will charge a pissload more, and most likely screw it up to have you come back for them to "fix" another problem....i know from experience

That's kinda ironic, I have a miss in my truck to, it's #5 cylinder lol, though the cause of mine is just worn out rings witch I think isn't bad considering the 300,000 miles lol. But the 408 stroker is getting closer to being installed!!!

No offense dude, but that was painful to read. A little slacking on punctuation is fine, but the almost complete lack of it combined with broken sentences really was quite hard on the poor brain to decipher.

Translation for others who don't want to decipher it:
