37's What size lift do I need?

I found a guy that will give me H1 Alpha 37x12 tires for around a $100 a piece. What size lift do I need to fit them on a 2001 1500 5.9L v8

more than 5.5 inches and your going to need different wheels.

1 ton axle upgrade, and probably 6" of suspension lift or better.

thanks guys, beginning to sound like its not worth it yet

if you are looking for an inexpensive route, a 2 inch coil spacer with a 2 inch add a leaf plus a 3 inch body lift might leave with only a small rub

I agree with the one ton axles and at the minimum a 5.5 lift. Those are heavy tires!

I run 3" suspension lift and 3" body lift, and I doubt I could run 37's without rubbing on the lower fender well if I were turning and flexing at the same time. You really need more then 3" of suspension lift in my opinion.

after looking at some of the other threads i felt 7 inches would be the min and definitely the axle swap. but at that rate I'll look at getting a 2500 and then a lift and tires
