Happy Camper: Part 2
Everything was put in about 4 weeks ago, and it all works great. My brakes work the absolute best, even with the camper behind the truck. The tranny will not go over 180* while towing the camper on state roads at 55MPH. Towing the camper on interstate 71 going to General Butler State Park in Kentucky @ 60MPH was a mistake. you have semis flying by you @ 70MPH, A cross-wind, and a ****ty interstate. One time the temp got up to 210*. But going to Clifty Falls last weekend we took advantage of the well kept Indiana state roads and the Dodge felt like a beast! The temp never got over 180* and there was little swaying of the truck. I'm going to do an oil change, fix the TPS(Surging), install Luke's Link, Install the Russell Brake lines, and replace the front brake pads to get ready to head back to Clifty Falls for Memorial Day weekend.
The camper is soooo much better than sleeping in that old Truck Tent! I am so glad that we came upon this great deal, as we considered buying a POS 1978 Dodge mobile home for $1000! This camper is so nice on the inside and the door on each side is the best idea ever conceived! The 5families that we camp with all have big 5th wheel campers that they pull with their Duramaxes and Powerjokes, and they say they wished they had a camper more like the size of ours. The large 5th wheel campers are just too big for them(what they say....). Our camper IS the perfect size for me, my Dad, and my brother.
Here are some pics from camping @ Clifty Falls in Madison Indiana last weekend.

Enjoy!

This is how much it sags fully loaded. The hitch stabilizer takes alot of the sag out. Makes the truck look level.

its funny that you say that you like big pictures, but they are small. of course my resolution is 1680x1050 so that might have something to do with it.
i like the leather recliner in the camper. that's a nice touch.
have you seen the toy hauler campers? my uncle has one and it's pretty cool. there are two queen size bunk beds in the back that retract to the ceiling when you want to drop the ramp pull the dirt bikes inside. and the entire back wall of the camper is a ramp for the bikes.
