i have a 97 dodge ram. worked fine yesterday, went to start it this moring and it turns over but will no start. i got it started once, then turned it off to see if it would turn back on and nothing. there is a sealed canister looking thing directly under the driver door by the frame, and if i tap on it it seems to want to start but still doesnt. everything worked fine with no signs of it wanting to break down before. have no clue what it could be. thanks

 

you should probably go to the 3rd gen ram section

try posting over in the 1st gen they will know but sounds like a starter have a buddie try to turn her over and get a hammer and tap on the starter.

If it turns over, it isn't the starter (or the battery). I'd guess fuel or fire.
