Fixing pass.window switch & seat cushion
Hi everyone! I bought a used Ram for my sons first vehicle (98 Ram 1500 SLT) and have a couple small problems I'd like your advice on. The previous owner was, uh, kinda large, and he would plop down on the outer edge of the drivers seat which caused that part to start to break down. Is there a way to replace the padding underneath by myself or is that something I'd have to have an re-upholstery place do?
Also, the passenger power window will go up and down when using the switch from the drivers side control but will only go up on by using the passenger side control. I have to sit there and ask my son to please put my window down, which he puts down all the way and I have to then put it up to the height I want it. He loves having control over that and thinks it's funny...I want to fix it myself and regain control...that will be funny! I'm pretty handy with this kind of DIY stuff and will pop off the door cover to get to the window motor, I've taken them off on other vehicles before, but before i get into that, are there any hidden screws or clips I should be looking for? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problems that you just described here. The window was easy to fix, all i did was replace the switch and it was fixed. The seat, however, is still worn on my truck and my back is takin a toll
. I'm not large by any means but 10 years and 217k miles will break down any seat. I don't know if you can fix it yourself, I'm sure you can but I just dont have the patience for it so i'm lookin for a junk truck in the same year to swap seat cushions with. Someone on this forum said you can switch the passenger seat cushion with the drivers one which i tried and it didn't fit right but thats just my truck.
