so about 4 years ago I got for free a jet chip.
shortly after that my ram would sputer once in awhile. I thought the cap rotor tune up stuff. at the time I drove the ram 50 miles a week. so I did a tune up it got better. then about 18 months ago I drove it about 20 miles a week. sometimes less since I also have cj-7 I drove in the summer. then I read on this forum how the jet chips are so wounderfull LOL. so yesterday I pulled the battery cable and pulled the conector for the chip it almost fell off when I grabed it. and of course the facotry conector snaped into place. so tomarrow im going to drive my ram and check it out. I havent driven this ram in 10 months. may be my misfire will go away. it wasnt bad but anoyning. sputter at stop lights sometimes. maybe I dont need injectors. 106,000 miles on it. 52mm fastman TBI K&N cold air intake. free flowing cat. w/o2 elemator chip from fastman.

 

you have to use a big ziptie or something to hold it on tight. the weight of it will make it come loose. i think thats where everyone runs into problems and is giving the jet chip the bad rep.you are going to have 10 people tell you its junk on here. but the thing is how many of them have actually tried it. i have. i never had any issues cause i read on another site that it needed to be ziptied on. so i did. there were hp gains felt. i thought the hp was equal to the hypertech max energy i had.

 

well it didnt help Im now will be looking in to changing the injectors bummer. owell. after I change the injectors I might try the tie wrap idea with the chip.
