Default transmission swap
i have a 1995 dodge ram 2500 360 gasoline engine i would like to put the transmission into a 2001 dodge ram 2500 360 gasoline engine does anyone know how much trouble this would be to swap. both are overdrive . you can contact me at thsj360@gmail.com thanks for the help

360 to 360 should bolt right up. The problems arise when trying to mate the tranny from a V10/CTD to one of the 8's ... or <gulp> the other way around.

If I'm not mistaken, a 95 is a 46RH and a 2001 is a 46RE. So there are other issues.
