Need tires advice for 2000 4x4
Sorry to noob this question out here but....
Im looking at buying a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4 from a co-worker and was wondering what tire sizes will fit with a 3 inch body lift.
I noticed the 4x4 looks like it has ample room for a 33's with no lift.
Any Idea if 35's will clear with a 3 inch body lift?
I would love to hear what mods worked for you guys if anyone has the time...
Thanks

Do you have the factory 16in. wheels on it? if so you have to go with a metric tire (245,265,305,315 and so on)
I Have 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 with no lift kit and I fit 315/75r16 on it . I found a local tire shop that mounted and dismounted tires till We found one that looked good and cleared in the front.
hope this helps .

First of all, you do NOT have to have metric sizes. They make english size tires in 16" wheels. You can safely clear 33x12.50's with a 3" lift, and I know people that run 35x12.50's with minor fender trimming.
I HIGHLY reccomend AGAINST doing a body lift. I've done a bunch of them in the past, and it's not a good way to do it. Since you're running a 1/2 ton (1500 model) you can get a set of 3/4 ton (2500 model) front springs from a junkyard. Install these, and you'll gain about 2-1/2" of lift. Then put 2" add-a-leafs in the rear to match. Or you can get a spring spacer kit from www.jeeperzcreeperz.com and get about 2" of lift. Both of these options are much better than doing a body lift.
PM me if you want any more details.
