Need help with mpg...
So, once I get the money again, I'll need to find somebody to help me with headers, since it was the only local guy that told me they are a bad idea...
going to look into tuners. Is the Superchips Flashpaq about the price I'm looking at? or are there cheaper ones that are just as good? I'd rather have you guys tell me, cause I don't want to buy a POS...
I'll get seafoam. I did add an octane booster/cleaner, but was told recently that seafoam is the way to go...
I guess I'll also tell the fat *** girlfriend to walk wherever she goes until she's a respectable size and quits hurting my mileage.

Now THAT is what I call a "Win/Win".
LOL about the girlfriend.
Seriously though, the Superchips Flashpaq 3815 is the best one out there without going to the SCT. The SCT is better, custom tunes are where its at, but a big step up in price. And if you plan on 99% bolt ons, and not extreme things like a supercharger, new cam, new heads, etc. etc., the Flashpaq would be OK.

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna get the flashpaq
Now on the opposite end of the equation... I live in a very rural area and the snow is starting to melt... causing big mud pits.
I'm thinking about getting tires to "play" with and wondered how big I could go without rubbing? A lift is out of the question because I have a warranty that will be instantly voided...

This has been discussed several times before, but I believe the answer is with a stock non-Offroad Edition 4x4 Ram 1500, 285s (33s) are the biggest you can go without rubbing in the front. 3.55s are gonna suck with those tires, BTW, get-up-and-go wise. Any bigger tires than that combined with 3.55 gears is hard on the tranny.
I have a set of 3.92 gears in my closet right now. When I get my 285s (when my current iron tires wear out), I'm gonna do a gear swap as well. I currently have the 3.55s in the truck.
