mohawk call up the guys over at OK 4 wheel drive in stewertsville N.J. and see what they are putting in for ball joints alot of guys go there and they do every type of offroading you can think of. If they break it they will find a better part for the next time.

I'm gonna go all the way back to post #1 ... WHO told you that your joints were bad? How did they determine this? There's people on here who have a TON of experience with Dodges and are still learning ... there are so many things that can go wrong with the suspension and steering ...

Just make sure they're bad before you fly off the handle. Did YOU notice anything weird or shakey in your front end ... or did the guy just drop this bomb out of the blue?

Mechanic who was changin my oil. Steering did seem to be a little looser than when the joints were put on. Besides that everyting is fine, i may have forgotten to say that i havent checked them but will be doing so before i have anything done. He said that they were getting loose even gave me advice as how to change them cuz i said id prolly do them myself. Thats what im going off of, though my steering is still great and i havent really felt THAT much of a difference so this ball joint stuff was a bit of a surprise. I know my u-joints need to be replaced though.

Steering box has just been rebuild, trac bar and such have not been replaced but everything seems well. THe ball joints though do have a history (with me) of going bad, and actually going bad. Like i said im going to be checking these again before i do anything but if they are indeed bad i need somehting tha will stop this.
