If you've got your mind on a locker get a detroit. It's worth the price. They're bomb proof. A cheaper one might seem like a good idea today, until it grenades, and you lose the cost of the unit, plus the cost of the gears if it chews them up in the process. If you're getting gears done at the same time as the locker it'll save you some money on the install if you're not setting them up yourself. But if you can set up gears, then you can set up a locker.

For the price you should probably find yourself a dana 60 or 70 with 4.10 gears already in it. Then you could get a selectable locker for it. Best of both worlds.

First off nice to see you back Cereal!

Viper: 2wd desert racing is something that I think is awesome. Really cool to see someone on here who does that. I read about the races people have out West, its awesome.

its seamless and more forgiving. if you going to be on the road quite a bit and desert
running occasionally then IMO you'd be better off with an LSD. A locker is better suited
for when you need to dig real hard or go in a straight line.

Yeah that ain't no joke.
and here's some of my favorties

-No lift laws in Kentucky.
-No emmisions testing (no inspection for that matter)
-Nobody cares if your truck is loud as hell because their truck is louder
-No waiting periods on handguns
-Kentucky burbon (duh)
-Moonshine
-The cost of living is cheaper (about 2/3 of what it is in PA)
-you can buy beer in walmart
