Shouldnt be much of a difference. Tranny maybe? Front shocks for diff weight? prolly not. Basically the same ram. Sure minor differences, but still not that big of a difference.
Not sure on the shocks (doubt its different), but I know the tranny is the same for both 5.2s and 5.9s. The 46RH (1994-1995) and 46RE (1996+).
I hear ya BlueBeast. I went through that crap before, had to be put on meds for a year or two. I would be lying if I said a certain woman had nothing to do with it.
But I got better. Just stick with it man, get a counselor if you need one. Thats how I got better. I ended up having to ditch a couple idiot friends who were contributing to my depression, and got some meds, I got through it. Never would have known some of my real problems without talking to a counselor.
i would concur that the 5.2 engine is in fact more reliable than the 5.9. i actually had a dream about firing up my old '89 dodge ram 150 that has been sitting around forever that had a 5.2 in it and it started right up. lol
not sure where this post went but thanks for the input everyone
oh and 318th post.. lol
how ironic
I'm not sure about the 318 Magnums, but the old 318's were very good and reliable motors. Don't sweat it... You still have a V8, and that's what's most important here.
The newer, smaller motors (like Nissan) do make a lot of power, but look at the set-up...they are usually running 4 valves per cylinder or something crazy like that. Dodge don't roll that way...
I guarantee if you make sure your plenum is good, get a Fastman, headers, round intake or equivalent, 1.7 RR and roller lifters, and something like a B&G or SCT, you will not be displeased at all. The biggest thing holding these trucks back is the de-tuning they have.
