Default Thicker Coils in 1500

For those running 3/4 or 1 ton coils in their 1500, do the coils seat ok in the upper and lower perches? I've heard they do not seat well because the coil is thicker. - thanks

Shoot him a pm next time instead of jacking his thread.

As far as the coil spring question, I would have to say that I haven't heard anyone having an issue from those who have done the swap. I doubt you would have a problem but it is always good to double check. I know this guy did it so you might try your luck and shoot him a pm. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/members...odgeguy97.html

Why do you need larger coils?

Aubry, I replied to your PM. But for anyone else searching, the 3/4 ton and 1 ton coils fit/seat fine in a half ton with no problems. But the 3/4 ton gasser coils will not gain as much lift as the diesel coils.

Viper, the reason he wants the stiffer coils is cause he has a heavy front bumper on his truck which is sagging it down. The diesel coils will support the weight much better and also gain 3" or so of lift.

Anyone know where to get these springs or do i just have to check a junk yard. Rather have the bigger springs than spring spacers.
