Transfer case jumping out of gear - follow up
The problem was the transfer case jumping out of gear to neutral while driving.
Turned out to be that the plastic pads on the shift forks were worn.
So my mechanic/friend is repairing (yes he knows what he is doing) it. All new bearings, fluid pump, both shift forks and the low range gear hub was showing wear. New chain , seals and heavy duty snap ring. Total $650 with labor!
