Looks like 01DodgeRam360 is calling it quits
On another note, if you're trying to get good credit, just get a credit card and use it once in awhile and pay it off. I've had ONE credit card for almost 2 years and my credit score is like 750. They're always trying to give me loans and ****, and my interest rate is really low. That would cost you less money in the long run then a car payment. Maybe get your house sooner too.
I had two credit cards over a period of two years, back before my wife and I got our first car together, her current Jeep. She had no credit cards, no credit history period, so they offered her a pretty steep interest rate. We tried both me cosigning it (both cards were heavily used but paid off at that time, BTW) and putting it strictly under my name. The interest rate did not change, and the same lenders that refused to give us an offer before still refused to give us an offer, and the same lenders that gave us an offer before, gave us the same offer.
When we went to get my truck, we were fresh from paying off the loan on the Jeep. I had widdled myself down to one credit card in the mean time, and had an accidental late payment (forgot) the month before. Thought to myself, this is going to suck. It didn't matter at all. With my wife cosigning, we got about as high a credit rating as one could have. The dealership said the only way we could have had a higher rating is if we had had multiple paid off car loans or a mortgage.
When it comes to credit, for little things, little things count. If you have done good with your credit cards, other credit cards will always send you offers. For big things like houses and vehicles, only big loans (e.g. house and vehicle loans) count.

I dunno. I've never taken out a big loan for anything and the bank was gonna offer me a $25,000 loan with a 7% interest rate. I kinda figured that was good.
I ended up just buying this truck casue I decided it would be smarter to buy something I could just pay for on the spot, and I'm glad cause I think a car payment would really bum me out. I mean not at first, but after the excitment of having a new ride wears off I'd start getting down on myself about it.

I definitely need a truck; our family is constantly doing construction for the business homes. I just need something that can do a little bit of both, haul and cruise. My brother thinks I'm crazy for selling my truck, bu my father supports my decision(especially because he helped me with the lawyer). He thinks I should sell while the truck is still hot on the market and the transmission is new. I find this is a little weird though. When I got rid of my neon, I had lowering springs in a box that I never got to install and sent them back. Now I have coil springs in a box and I'm sending those back too...very weird.
That's understadable.
If you're gonna buy a newer truck though I'd stay away from 1500s. They all seem so chincy.
The more I look at the newer trucks the more i'm a fan of F-250 and F-350s. The heavy duty dodges are okay too but the diesels are pretty expensive, and I woulnd't want anything to do with a hemi in a heavy duty truck.

Again, I think a lot of what happens depends on if there is a market for your truck. From what I've heard, auction prices peaked on trucks about a month ago. Starting to fall back down now that the gas prices are ticking up. Usually see private party prices mirror that. If you are positive you want to sell it you might have to eat more then you'd like, but at this point, seems like you've figured out that a vehicle is not an investment.
If I were to sell my truck right now, I'd lose 3k at least. Mine was steal when I bought it at auction, but a month later the truck market bombed with gas prices. Been in the hole ever since. But ultimately it's paid for, so who cares.
Plus you have a lot working against you with trying to sell your truck:
-It's black for starters. Studys show that buyers tend to shy away from black because it takes to much effort to keep it clean.
-It's modified. Many people looking for a good used truck won't be interested in one that's modified because that raises a lot of concerns.
-It has a horrible maintenance history. You'd be better off not disclosing any of the problems you've had with it, including the trans. If I were buying a new truck, i'd pass on one that has a new trans. That tells me something major has gone wrong with it, and I wouldn't want anything to do with it.
i think you took very good care of itsince you got it, if you keep it maintained it should last a long *** time exsp with a new tranny , and the 5.9 last forever plus its paid off, if your looking for more power for it there lots of good stuff out. the econmy sucks , i dont think you would get much for it, def nothing close to what you put into it, how many miles ???
