I went to change my oil at the 3000 mile mark and it smelt like gas. this is the first oil change i have done on the truck since i bought it from a dealer used. It has ran fine since ive had it ,only messup was when the tube to my air box rattled off and it was idleing horrible im assuming cause of the MAF sensor or however this engine is set up. So any ideas on why it smells? the truck is a 99 4x4 360 with 81K on it quad cab short bed "doubt that matters" no over sz tires or lift just stock all around.

 

you must have leaky fuel injectors, that's the only entry point for gas... get some BG44K FI cleaner and run it through the tank, then monitor your oil... gas in oil is not good...

 

its under warrenty isnt it?? take it back and kick it up thier asses [sm=chairshot.gif]
