I like straps cause you can get a good lead on them, and if it snaps them no big deal.

That's a common misconception. Straps can be ugly when they snap. Hooks added to the straps can make it that much worse. I've had a strap with hook ends snap and break a windshield, it was enough force to make your day turn bad real quick if it were to hit you.

I carry a 20k pound strap with loop ends in my Jeep.

Nice work i had to do something simmilar... but it was an f 350 diesel and he was in mud... and i broke a four inch strap trying to pull him out... yeah a four inch strap. and then i finished pulling him out with a three inch strap... figure that one lol...

Yeah I never use hooks or or clevices. Loop ends only.

nice. my buddies f-150 got stuck real bad. mud up to the doors and he had a 3in lift. poor guy had to be pulled out by a chevy. lets just say his pride was dinged a little.
