Default how much paint?

I am about to start body work on my 1994 ram but i would like to know how much paint i will end up needing. I am painging an acrylic enamel metalic black. With a black primer underneath, and clear on top. For those of you who have donethis before, how much primer paint, and clear will i need? the truck is a standard cab long bed.

thanks alot,
Alex

If you go with base/clear, 1.5 gallon should be enough to do the complete truck, most all bases are 1 to 1 ratio on the mix, so you basically end up with 3 gallons.

1.5 gallons of clear should go the distance. And 1.5 gallons of single stage ,you should have just enough. As far as primer goes, I would also go with 1.5 gallons.

alright, thanks alot, i would much rather have a little too much material then too little. ill keep that in mind. i dont know if this makes a difference, but i will only be painting exterior and door jams. I will not be painting inside the bed either, im going with a roll-on liner there.
