Default Subwoofers

Is there any manufacturer that makes a powered sub woofer that fits under the center front seat or under one of the front seats. I don't want to loose my under the back seat tool tray.

Powered, I'm not sure, but JBL makes a "Stealth" box with a 12" sub that sounds awesome! If you install the amp for it under the driver or passenger seat, you'll be set. This sub costs in the area of $600 or so, plus whatever you spend on the amp, so be prepared...

I think so. Check Crutchfield.

You should be able to make a box ouf of fiberglass or somthing and put two 8" subs. Are you just looking for extra bass or a powerfull system?

Two slim line woofers fit under those seats pretty easily. Unless you want to pay an ungodly amount of money for a box for that, just build one yourself and cut costs that way.

i dont remember who makes them, but i saw a site that made the middle seat into a downfiring subwoofer. it looks just like your regular seat, but theres one sub underneath. You could get that and mount an amp under one of the other seats. I dont know how well they perform though... Just thought. Look up middle seat sub box or sumthin

That is also a Stealthbox by JBL. 500 or so. I looked into purchasing one but was told they are not that good.

A poster on this forum recently supplied this link.

Not powered, in fact doesn't even come w/ a speaker but it could make for a decent sounding and clean looking install which still allows use of the space behind the seats.

I believe you are asking about items like the MTX Thunderlink or Infinity Basslink? I recently looked into those to try to upgrade my stereo system, but saw too many negative reviews of them. Ultimately decided I'm building my own downfiring sub box for under the center section of the seat, and getting an amp. 10" sub was about $100 bucks, figured I can build the box for about $25. Amp is what's killer.

Guessing you want a powered sub so you don't have to mess with an amp install though. Was hoping to have a DIY on the sub enclosure up by the end of the weekend, but amp won't be here for a month or so now, so it's on the back burner.

I built a box for 1 10" sub to fit under the passenger seat, and am gonna do the same for the drivers side. My amp is mounted on the floor under the center seat. This makes for a very clean out of sight install. It's not a pro job, but it's hidden good so it works for me....

an old blown sub I was using just to fit the box. the seat is slid all the way forward here, but its hidden when the seat is positioned normally

mounted to the seat brace
