Default No Spark?

New here, I need to get my truck running soon. Here's hte problem. In November the truck died so we threw a new crank sensor in. Fixed it for about 200 miles and it died again and wouldn't start. Threw another crank sensor in it the other day and still nothing. I've tried swaping coils with another truck that runs and still nothing. I put a test light right before the coil and got nothing. I'm thinking the cam sensor is bad. Anybody else have this problem? How hard is it to throw a cam sensor in?

What made you change the crank sensor, and did it throw some codes?

The check engine light was on, had it checked showed an O2 sensor. Put a new one on then it came on again with crank sensor. It's on again too.

i've learned the hard way not to ignore the codes. damn computer is usually right. check the wiring and plug to the crank sensor. also check for voltage feeding the sensor. the fact that a new sensor fixed it for awhile is probably significant. something you did the first time fixed the problem, then it came back. wiring ?

I'll check the code on ethier saturday or sunday when I can get acess to a computer. The wiring seems fine going to the sensor to the connector.

It's in the distributor under the rotor.

you just have to take the distributor cap off the rotor button off...and its a little plastic disc that usually has a quick disconnect plug on it....comes out pretty easily. at least, i think thats what you're talking about. i could be thinking of something else lol
