Well I have no clue what I would be doing and there really isnt anyone down this way that has done this before. They guy that did my exhaust he has lowered cars put tubros on them but he has never did any lifting before. But there is a few shops.

I really don't think it is hard, just time consuming, especially if you try to do it yourself.

 

I'm sure I will get help just going to cost.

 

As with anything it would probably a good idea to start spraying PB blaster on the bolts holding the body to the frame in advance.

and if you get frustrated, spray a little in the cap and smell it lol.

Nah my boy got me covered on that end. When he was doing my exhaust he was under my tail gate in was down and there was a bunch of stuff on it like over 100lbs. He went to stand up he hit his head on the corner and picked up the hole thing with his head. He was chasing the old exhaust hangers when we where trying to reuse them. His vice was not mounted and he walked under my tailgate.

 

I've done it before, just take out your transmission, loosen the bed and cab bolts, jack it up (I used my legs to lift up my bed), drill a new hole for crank rod, put the spacers in, tighten bolts and put back in your transmission.

You really don't need to lengthen your gas hose or anything like that, mine was already long enough for my 3 inch lift.

But my PA kit didn't come with anything to lift up my back bumper.....

but overally, pretty easy

 

Take out the tranny? Drill a new hole for crank rod? What?

 

We just took a body lift off a dodge ram 2500 and it took about 30 mins to remove and, Mind you we have a rack to lift the entire body off the frame so all we had to do was use the creeper to get under the truck and impact and the 17 or so bolts. Lift the body then remove the spacers and lower it back down and bolt it back up. Start to finish about 30 mins. But I have a good deal of experience and my boss has a ton of experience so it was cake.

The truck did not have a transmission or motor so Im not sure if you have to remove them like Silver Kracker said. Ill have to ask.

When you say drill a new hole for the crank rod, are you talking about the spare tire setup?
