Default 03 5.9 Plenum

I have a quick question, my 03 5.9 has about 82k on her, and she has been takin well cared of. I have the death flash and while I save up for a rebuild or stroker, I am going to be doing a tb, some other little things, and superchip it. Before I do that, I am going to run full diagnostics, leakdown and compression tests, and dyno it before to see current ratios. I do have a question:

1. In the older 5.9, did they ever fix the plenum issue? Or did they still use the different metals for both? I doubt they ever fixed it, but I wasnt sure.

Only reason I ask is that I do not have access to a lot of tools, or time. (School fulltime, 2 jobs, and army reserve) so to take a day off is hard, and I would hate to pay a shop 400.

If they didnt create a fix in the older 5.9s, then obvisouly I would fix it, I guess I am hoping that a fix was made.

Thanks.

I've never heard if the 5.9's newer then '01 have the same issue. To my knowledge though, it was never fixed by Chrylser up to at least 2001.

As far as I ever heard, it was the same design all the way around.... I could be wrong though.
