hay new to this. I'm looking for parts for a np231 transfer case in a 2000 ram 1500 p/u and having trouble finding them for a truck. Only finding them for jeep's . Can any body give ma some idea's on were to look.

 

the NP231 in a Dodge truck is the same as the NP231 in a Jeep, and it was even used in some GM vehicles....look at my thread requesting Transfer information or do a thread search with the word "Transfer" and there are some links in those threads to sites that sell rebuild kids.....i ended up going to a salvage yard and buying a whole used transfer because mine was toast.....there are very nice step by step rebuild instructions and it really doesnt look like such a tuff job to rebuild one.....

 

There is a few small differences between the NP231 for Jeeps and Dodges.
Take a look at your tag on the X-fer case it might say NP231D - it uses different -larger output shaft. If you are looking for the shift forks, gears, oil pump, chain - its all the same.
If your X-fer case says NP231 then its the same as on Jeep vehicles.
