Hey i was wondering if i could get any help on this. I have a ram 1500 with 40in tires and i was running 4:56 gears on it and i grinded them up. So i have really two questions... Should i Regear it to something else. and does anyone know where i could find these gears?? I'm new to the lifed truck thing so im trying to learn all the tricks and trades.

First of all with 40" tires you really need to upgrade to 1-ton axels. Dana 60 up front, Dana 70 in the rear preferably.

Besides that I'm pretty sure 4.88 is the lowest gears you can get on the 9.25 you have now, and while that may cut it you really should go lower.

For 40 tires you should be running 5.38s
