Very rarely your gas cap. I had to replace all the rubber hoses going to my canister.

Im assuming that solved the problem then? Anything else you had to do, or was that it?

So, your getting a P0441 engine code, which is a bad purge flow?
Check to make sure all your hoses are attached to the canister.
Also, If you have switched to a locking gas cap, make sure it has vents.
That was my issue, I started to get that code shortly after I went to that locking cap.
The code went away when I switched back to the stock cap.

i had that evap system leak problem on my 01. Wasn't the gas cap go figure. Took it to my local shop and they were able to put it on a smoke machine and find the leak. One small hose leak was the issue. this could be a better option then to just start replacing hoses. Good luck.

When I got that code on my 97 1500, I changed the purge solenoid and the charcoal canister. Cost me 80 bucks. Hope that helps.

Yes that fixed my problem I replaced them all instead of searching for a leak- not to mention the hoses are eight yrs old

I had several cracks in my hoses when I had this code...

The small hoses near the purge solenoid, and the big meaty ****** on the evap canister. My hoses were destroyed! I've never seen a hose look so bad - but $11 at the local parts store and it was fixed. The stealer wanted 90 bucks for the pre formed hoses... uh, no thank you!

Good luck!
