Default 96 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l 360 V8

so a few days ago i go up the mountain to screw around with some friends, i get up there pack my truck turn it off for about half an hour. get back in, turn it on, put it in reverse...it stalls...start it back up and going down the hill it stalls the whole way down. get to flat surface it runs fine until i hit another down hill. and you guessed it, it stalls. so the next day it works fine and goes up and down hills with ease.

until i get to the parking lot of where i work and hit a pot hole and...it stalls.
does this leaving the parking lot too.

so i get home take it to school and it works fine til i put it in reverse. idles out fine. but give it some gas, it shudders and dies.

i think the float in the gas tank is stuck. but i know there is plenty of gas in there. so maybe it has something to do with that?
any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

I don't know exactly how dodge floats are constructed but on my ford, they are prone to cracking. and since there hollow inside, they fill up with gas and give false readings. hope that helps.
