Default HHHHEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!! PROBLEM! i don't know where to start???

so here is my story... i come off the interstate and hear a horrible grinding right before my rear wheels lock up. i look under my truck to find my driveshaft laying on the ground the wrecker comes and lines up to tow it from the rear wheels but he cant get the truck in the right position. so i put my truck in 4wd and it wont roll forward but it rolls on reverse. i put the driveshaft back on. shift my automatic transmission to drive and get nothing. PARK works REVERSE works NEUTRAL works DRIVE rpms drop as if going into gear but no action 2nd no action 1st goes into reverse???

Sounds like your transmission exploded.

If your first gear is now giving you reverse action then you definently have mechanical tranny problems. Something had to have exploded inside of there and it is in desperate need of an overhaul now.

Sounds like you need to find a tranny shop quick.

you're gonna have to bite the bullet and get it rebuilt. no question that its completely FUBAR. take it to a tranny shop and have them rebuild it if they can
