Default 1998 5.2L Check Valve Hose Clarification

Guys,,,I have read alot of post about the check valve in the transmission line. I have seen pics...but there seems to be inconsistancies on which hose is the "transmission return line". Is the line with the check valve in it the return line or not? I am confused. I am trying to install a B&M transmission cooler and dont want to hose it up. I have seen the pics of others but the directions on the B&M cooler say that the return line for a Chrylser or Ford transmission will be the one that goes to the rear of the transmission????

I would appreciate if you can clarify that for me...

Squirrelz has a kick-*** write-up on it on here somewhere.

Here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ve-delete.html

That should help you out.
