could'nt i just get 5" coils or less put them in the front or 4.5" or 5" spacer or less whichever one they sell and get the correct rear blocks? what else is required for the front besides drop arm and shocks, i need a trac bar anyways... just seems like a-lot of $$$$$$$$ for these lift kits and they dont come with that much......just like everyone else.. el cheapo

If you want to do a 5in. you will need and tracbar drop braket as well. Other wise you truck will not steer so nice. Also for the front your going to want to get or make longer control arms. and if you still want to do it yourself..for the block in the back you will need and 3in block and a add a leaf in the spring pack and you may have to get a longer brake line to go from the T-block on the axle to the Line on the frame..Yes the kits are a lot o money..I paid 1200 bucks at then indy truck show for my 5.5in long arm kit from Fabtech..but its worth it i think..

Like Kraiger already said, you would need to get a track bar drop bracket and longer control arms, as well as the block/AAL combination for the rear with the possibility of needing a longer brake line. Plus a lot of the kits require and come with a new pitman arm to correct your steering geometry as well... There are also all the small components to take into consideration like cable/hose rellocating brackets and even shocks (you'll need longer ones to accomodate the extra lift) not too mention all the new hardware (if your is anything like mine the bolts you pull out of it will be useless)... All in all they are a lot of money (I paid 1200 for my 5" Superlift) but well worth it. Not only does it save you A LOT of time you would have to spend measuring, fabricating and researching but everything in the kit is designed to work with the other components, so you know its all going to work in the end and nothing is going to be missed or overlooked... Don't get me wrong, even with my kit I ran into a few snags on the install, but it was certainly a lot smoother than it wouldv'e been if I had tried to piece a kit together myself
