Default Code 37

so had my ram for a couple weeks, it came with the check engine light on, got a couple codes, fixed all the problems i could and now the light stays off, but when i check for codes it says i still have a code 37, the TCC is working just fine, and mine does not have the tow packege, my haynes manual says code 37 is supposed to keep the check engine light on, but it is not, i have tried clearing the codes several times but that code 37 keeps showing up,...should i ignore it? it is a canadian model, does anyone have any thoughts?

DON'T IGNORE IT!!! Code 37 say that your torque converter clutch SOLENOID is open or shorted. Correct that problem then reset your PCM. Then see if it comes back

Pay attention to detail!!! I said the SOLENOID, NOT THE TC ITSELF. Take it to a shop, just don't ignore it! How do you know that it's working like it should. It's throwing codes, isn't it?

but if the selenoid is open or shorted wouldn't the tcc not engage, it seems to engage just fine no surging or anything

All I can say is go get it checked out. Trucks can show weird symptoms when somethings wrong. I can sit here and tell you "don't worry about it. Its fine" but the problems still there. get it checked out before this mole hill turns into a mountain.
