I went to the dealer to see about the warranty transfer. I filled out the form and was told there is no transfer fee except for Durangos. Strike one. If the warranty did transfer I would have to pay $150. Ok. Then if my trans repair was covered there is a $100 deductable. Ok. So, I waited while the service agent processed the form. He comes out and says the warranty transferred. Ok. Then he says there's no charge. Huh? Yea, I didn't have to pay the $150. Now we are making progress! I had a printout of the picture with the broken piece in the pan. He took it to the trans mechanic, came back and said the trans needs to be rebuilt and it's covered by the Dodge 7yr/70k powertrain warranty. WOW!
Ya see! there is a God all ya gotta do is believe and have faith.

are you serious? Hell in my day if Mr. Todd caught you with a can of dip the penalty was he gets 1 and he took monster dips. Course this was 1979 -1983 back when high school was fun.

Amen brother. Sometimes it's easier said than done. Stuff can pile up so deep it's hard to see the light at the end of the dark tunnel. When I do get a glimpse of the light, I think it's a freight train.

Update: trans is currently being rebuilt.

Miracles do happen!
My trans was rebuilt and a new TQ. Covered by Dodge powertrain warranty. Cost me $100 for the deductible.
Hallelujah!

The celebration is over.

Trans lasted a day. Already stopped downshifting into first when stopping at a traffic light. So, after I stop then accelerate it starts in second most of the time. Sometimes it drops to first when I let off the brake to accelerate from the stop.
There's only one trans guy at the dealer and he usually works Sat. but of course not tomorrow. The only way they will look at it on a weekday is for me to leave it first thing in the morning which is when I start work. The dealer isn't anywhere close to my home or work.

I've really been trying to avoid rebuilding a trans myself but I think I'm on a collision course with it.
