Yeah I'm not saying it can't be done but what I'm saying is if you put that money into a car instead you could have have it faster in most cases. I don't know if a normal Ram would be what I would choose to make fast either but it is a nice truck. For fast I still think I would go with a SRT-10 or a lightning.

you could have gotten an amc eagle and put a lift and mud tires on it to go four wheeling, but you got a truck instead. Small light vehicles are better wheelers than big heavy trucks, why would you want to get a truck when you could spend less money on a car and have it go better offroad?

He wants a truck, he wants it to be quick. I want my truck to be quick too, although I'm not going to race it ever, I just don't like slow vehicles. Why do you have to be a dick about it?

I don't really take this guy seriously anyway look at his post. I could have bought a lighter truck to go offroading with and it I did serious offroading and only used it for offroading I probably would have but I use the truck for other stuff and needed a big truck. I don't like stuff slow either and want my truck to be fast also but don't want it to be race fast. I'm just saying put all this money into a truck and take it to a track and still get smoked by a guy in a Mustang or something similar especially when doing this to a Dodge Ram that isn't the SRT-10.

another option is an R/T 5.9 dakota single cab... you want good power to weight ratio...theres a good starting point (for a truck anyway).

if its your cash,your life and your desire.by all means,buy a truck.get a single cab ram,slap a lift on it,stroke the engine add headers,exhaust,all the goodies....youll have a fast truck.maybe even a race truck.
however, like stated above...the power to weight ratio will still be high(er) than say a dakota or a mustang for that matter...
given the same engine, mods, what not....the dak will be faster than the ram because its lighter.theyre also more expensive to lift.the later models anyway.
do what YOU want.its your dime.
correct me if im wrong...

I think he'd be looking at truck vs truck, but I'm sure you can make a truck just as quick as a car. just have to plunk down the bux for it.
