Can anyone tell me the size connectors that the transmission lines go into the stock radiator are? I need to know the top and bottom connector. I am thinking it is 3/8' male on both?????

 

not sure, but it think it will be bigger than 3/8. the lines themselves are 3/8, so the threads are probably more like 1/2 or 9/16, and wrench size is probably about 5/8. seach for the check valve delete thread. squirrels posted some pics and fitting sizes recently.

i have already read aim4squirrels post about the check valve delete,,,that is what got me into this... I am going to replace the connector all the way in the radiator...i am wanting to put a "barbed" 3/8' on the hose end that goes to the radiator...and needed to know the thread/connector size that actually screws into the radiator...

 

the easiest and cheapest thing to do, is just use a tubing cutter on the existing connectors. then slip a new 3/8 hose over them and the hard lines and clamp it. you don't need barbs.

 

thanks for the reply....just seems like the barbed end would hold better...isn't the PSI line under alot of pressure?

 

Make the hose long enough to double clamp each end and you should be OK.
