Default how to use ignition checker?

i found this in the toolbox....does snyone know how to use it? i hooked it up and the pressure doesnt rise.....

should just pop into a plug wire and ground out that wire to check spark strength...

lol, i have NEVER heard of that.... i cant even figure out what would make pressure rise....

i would think that if you put a plug wire onto the sparkplug thingy, and attach the black wire to ground, it should do whatever its supposed to do.... if it doesnt do anything, and you know that the system on the truck is good... consider the tool broken and junk.

on page 45 - a little info. seems to be a tool used on small 2 cycle engines like outboards.
