Question Straight Pipes?

1994 Ram 1500 5.9

I have dual exhaust on my truck right now, but it has a muffler. I am thinking about cutting it off. Then later, when I get more money, I am going to weld a pipe where the muffler was. So basicly it would have a straight pipe back from the cats, then be dumped about half way under the bed. Then later it would have straight pipes back to the tips.

Is this going to hurt my truck at all with the whole back pressure thing?

Im not too woried about geting pulled over or anything for it being loud. In a small town where I live cops know me. Hell one even asked me when I was going to cut it off and wants to hear it when I do. Thats not an issue. I just dont want to **** my truck up at all.

Im short on cash so i dont have the moeny to put a cherry bomb in or an other muffler or what ever. Right now this is about the cheapest way I can think of.

Let me know yalls oppininons

i had duals after the cat, with no muffler, and i cut the duals off and dumped a single pipe in front of my rear tire after the cat, no problems with backpressure, no power loss, and it sounds pretty good

I did it today. Took it out to the dairy I work at and took the Sawzall to it and whacked it right out. Left the tips on there for now. I might weld a pipe in there eventuialy. Its loud as hell now. That 360 just sounds like a beast. It has a deep, realy deap and mean sound. It sounds like a monster truck. Ill put a sound clip up. Let yall hear it. Hope I dont get pulled over for it on I-70 this week. Thats goina be a huge ticket for my exhaust and dark *** windows. haha. Ill put that sound clip on here in a few.
