you need a new water pump. there is an internal bearing and seal thats important. the pulley is just the visible part.

My water pump pully dosnt even have bolts on it. I believe it's pressed on?

I kind of found that funny, because my Chiltons book as well as some DIY links I have read about on here and PS both showed pictures of 4 bolts on the pulley. But not on mine. The new water pump I purchased dosnt have them either. Maybe its a "newer" 2nd gen thing?

My replacement water pump had the pulley pressed on as well. That was OK with me; one less thing to mess with. Of course, it was an easy job once I got the fan off. I have the technique for that down pat now, though.

yeah i had to get a new water pump. the pulley had completely come apart from the weld. oh and as soon as the water pump had gotten replaced and started driving down the road, fuel pump gave out. truck died, and i nearly hit a prius because he stopped and i had no power steering or brakes. i guess problems always come in pairs but damn, i'm running out of pumps to break.

Sounds like your truck is like mine-- it's not content to just kick you in the *****, but it has to punch it in your *** when you're still doubled over from getting kicked in the junk.
