Is Tranny fluid to blame?

After my trans was rebuilt at a shop, that is what they wanted to do. I said the tranny calls for ATF+4 and Not ATF +3 so it shouldn't even be a question as to what to put in there. Also it should be included in the rebuild price. Moral of the story was I had to pay for the ATF+4 and aparently the only thing they could find was penzoil so thats what went in. Two years later on the tranny rebuild and still going strong. Im gonna drop the pan this summer and change the filter.

I did ask them if they used +4 and they said they used the Chrysler +4 atf, should I believe it?

So you could'nt change your oil, filter, spark plugs, fluid and filter yourself?

Says the person that did that, and then ended up have the tranny rebuilt.... Grant it you did go a little further than that though.

hmmm, well i know what i'm doing this weekend. I've had that mecron crap in my tranny for about a year now. while i'm at it i might do that check valve delete thing.
