Default HELP!!! I need a rear!!!

Ok, if anyone knows of a place, or is local to me and can do or help, PLZ get ahold of me. I'll leave you the stats that I know of for my truck and contact info and hope that somone can help me out.

*Rear end leaks from the pinion seal/bearing at the yolk. In nutreul the truck has about 2 inches of backlash and you can move the shaft up and down about an inch. Not only this, but its clunkin pretty good in and out of gears.**

I'm looking for a drum to drum or if someone is local to me for them to rebuild, or actually be able to open the case up and fix what is wrong.

This is what I know I have.
1998 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT
5.9 Gas
200mm rear (10 bolt)
4.10 Gears
8 Lug
Spicer 60 or 70 **

** Dealer told me the truck has a 60 in the front, but the rearends were mixed between 60/70 in thsoe years. He told me MOST LIKELY its a 60. I know the 80's were only in 3500's.

You can email me on yahoo or IM me with the name arsjohn81 (yahoo)_
or my # is 540-718-7098

Thanks for any help and hopefully this won't set me back too much. I have priced drum to drums from $650-$1,000 ...... but every place I talk to doesn't have one and would have to search for one.

***UPDATE****

I called 3 national auto salvage yards and NO ONE has a rear. The dealer told me it would cost between 2 and 3 thousand to rebuilt this rear.

ANYONE have any ideas or suggestions???

Thanks,

john

And BTW, the dealer could have told you very easily what rear it is. All you have to do is give them the vin# and they can print out a build sheet for your vehicle. Once you have them do that, walk away from that dump and never look back.

Default **update**

The good news is that my rear in fine!!! I had my guy crack into the pumpkin today and everything inside is good. No metal flakes at all actually came out. He however has determined that I should do the pinion seal, yolk, and the carrier bearing is just plain wore out. He said that is 95% of the clunk that ive been hearing with of coarse a small % being the actual rear.

He's thinking that with doin the carrier bearing and new rims/tires *not sure if one or more rim might be bent*, that it should take care of the vibration that the truck has. I HOPE SO!!!

Either way.......it turns out I was pleased today after he got to looking in the rear......my bill just went from $2,000 to $300 *minus the tires/rims/breaks*.....so this saturday was actually a good one finally

Much better piece of mind now too!

This isn't that type of website.
