I appreciate the info. At the point it becomes necessary to start fabbing mounting points etc. the aftermarket stuff starts looking alot better.

After calling every wrecking yard in the state I couldn't find one anyways. A few places said they see them from time to time but don't have any now.

That Hellwig kit sure looks cool.

Helms and everyone else who replied, thank you very much for the info. I guess I'll just have to buck up and get the aftermarket kit.

Cheers.

you shouldn't have to worry about sway wayy too much with the airbags, my dad has them on his truck, and they helped quite a bit
and a rear sway bar came factory on 97 and newer trucks

Haha! probably. Not to worried about it right now though since I'm unemployed at the moment and so I'm not in too much of a hurry. Was laid off last month for lack of business. Gears will have to wait until I'm gainfully employed again. I've got enough of a severance to fix er up for some camping and leave a bit in the bank for emergencies. The job market around here is brutal right now for someone in my line of work, well every line of work really. I'm hopin if I go fishing in the mountains for like a month things will be better when I return.

That's good to know. Maybe I'lll just try it out without and see what happens. I've been reading over at rv.net and those people all say your crazy to go out of the driveway with anything less than a one ton dually...forget about it with a lift and big tires. It's not like I want to hit jumps with the camper on there...just get to the site unload, then go scouting for jumps. lol

Thanks man, I plan to. Being unemployed has actually been really nice. I've been working at the last job for over seven years and I maxed out unemployment and got a nice severance. I just don't want to still be looking for a job when unemployment insurance runs dry. That's like a nightmatre for me. Besides I get bored quick and need to find something to keep me busy. Watch out when I get bored! lol

yea, just don't be doing anything dumb on the interstate like passing real fast, as even a sway bar won't help in that situation with that much weight that high up in the bed
