Default misfire

Anyone on here ever heard of 01 rams misfiring? I just bought my truck with 89000 miles on it and yes the trans has been replaced, and I drove it for about 230 miles and then filled it up. I drove about another 30 miles and the truck started sputtering and cutting and getting absolutely no power! I barely made it back to the dealer I bought it from and he threw a diagnostic checker on it. Well it showed a 5, 7, and 8 cylinder misfire. He had it all day today said he took it to the shop and they checked it all out plugs, wires, injectors, etc.. and then added a bottle of injector cleaner and it cleared up the problem. Basically he said I got bad gas. has anybody ever heard this or do you think it could be something else? By the way its running perfect now!!!!

Default RE: misfire

adding a bottle of injector cleaner is not gonna fix the problem immediately... you'll have to run the tank down with the cleaner in it for a while before the effects are seen. you probably have an intermittant problem and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner is not going to fix it. If it's under waranty, bring it back next time it acts up.
